Australia's biosolutions sector could expand by nearly 170 percent to reach an estimated AUD$ 13.1 billion by 2035, according to findings from a new report released in Melbourne. Titled 'The Value of Biosolutions: Growth and Prosperity to 2035 – Australia edition,' the research outlines how targeted development could see the emerging sector nearly triple its current scale over the next decade. At that projected size, the biosolutions market would equate to approximately 30 percent of Australia's pharmaceutical market.[1][2]

In addition to revenue growth, the research reveals that a fully backed biosolutions industry could support nearly 44,000 jobs across the country by 2035. Such workforce expansion is anticipated to unlock widespread opportunities spanning Australian farming, regional manufacturing, and interconnected local supply networks, helping the nation build greater industrial resilience while strengthening domestic economic value at home.[1][2]

The study emphasizes, however, that capturing these economic and workforce benefits depends heavily on the implementation of supportive government policies. Stronger incentives and strategic measures will be required to effectively convert Australia's raw agricultural resources into sustainable employment, reinforced supply chains, and substantial long-term economic value through 2035.[1][2]

PepsiCo voluntarily recalled 122,000 cases of Gatorade across 37 US states on September 25 due to undeclared yellow food dyes in specific 28-ounce citrus varieties. This product safety issue disrupts inventory for retail brands and raises compliance questions for creators who feature these specific beverage lines in sponsored content. Creators and brands should immediately audit existing partnerships and scheduled video content to pause promotions involving the affected Gatorade flavors.
