QBit Semiconductor presented its robotics and drone chipset roadmap at SEMICON Taiwan 2026, introducing the QB88XX series SoC for multi-joint robot control.

Taiwan-based fabless IC design company QBit Semiconductor announced its robotics and drone chipset roadmap at SEMICON Taiwan 2026, positioning its hardware to target Physical AI control opportunities. The company made its presentation within the Taiwan Stock Exchange Pavilion, appearing alongside TWSE Chairman Sherman Lin and QBit Semiconductor Chairman Simon Shen.[1][2]
As part of the roadmap, QBit introduced the QB88XX series, a system-on-chip built on a cerebellar model to manage motion control in advanced robotics. The SoC consolidates multi-joint control onto a single chip to address power and space limitations in dexterous robotic hands with more than 20 degrees of freedom, aiming to reduce both system costs and energy consumption.[1][2]
