Singapore General Hospital (SGH) has won the Silver Award in the Dr Prathap C Reddy Excellence Award for Clinical Quality and Patient Safety at the International Hospital Federation (IHF) Awards 2026. SGH received the honour for its Augmented Intelligence in Infectious Diseases (AI2D), an artificial intelligence (AI) tool created to improve antibiotic use by helping doctors evaluate whether their patients need antibiotics.[1][2]
The international award was formally presented on Oct. 21, 2026, at the 49th IHF World Hospital Congress, which took place in Seoul, Republic of Korea. In addition to taking the Silver Award, SGH's AI2D system was also distinguished as a top-scoring innovation at the IHF i-to-i Innovation Hub 2026.[1]
