Advancing innovation through emerging technologies: PolyU launches free course on advanced technologies
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University will offer a free 12-week course starting in September 2026 to cover six key areas of applied science and technology.

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) is launching a new free course on advanced technologies to continue its promotion of interdisciplinary learning and knowledge transfer. Titled "Advanced Technologies," the course is scheduled to commence in September 2026 and will run for a duration of 12 weeks. This initiative marks the third course introduced under the Advanced Education Programme, which is offered by the PolyU Academy for Interdisciplinary Research (PAIR).[1][2]
The upcoming course is designed to cover six key areas of applied science and technology, including photonics, quantum technologies, intelligent wearable systems, the artificial intelligence of things, advanced manufacturing, and textiles for future fashion. Developed and taught by PolyU experts in collaboration with guest speakers from relevant industries, the program aims to broaden participants' understanding of these emerging technologies and their real-world applications.[1]
