Arsenal breeze past Fulham to open six-point gap over Man City

Arsenal secured a comfortable 3-0 victory over Fulham on Saturday, significantly strengthening their position at the top of the Premier League standings. The win at home allowed Arsenal to open a six-point gap over their closest rivals, Manchester City, as the season enters its final stages. The match was effectively decided before the halftime whistle, with Arsenal producing a dominant display to secure all three points.[1][2]

The scoring was driven by a standout performance from Viktor Gyokeres, who netted a first-half double. Gyokeres opened the scoring and later added a second goal, with Bukayo Saka also contributing to the tally by scoring between the two Gyokeres strikes. This offensive burst in the first half left Fulham with little room to recover, ensuring a straightforward win for the league leaders.[1][2]

With this victory, Arsenal has accumulated 76 points from 35 games played in the current campaign. While they hold a six-point advantage, second-placed Manchester City currently has 70 points but has played only 33 matches. This leaves City with two games in hand as they attempt to close the gap on Arsenal in the race for the Premier League title.[1]
