Chinese electric vehicle maker BYD recorded a rise in global sales for a third straight month in July, driven by strong performance in international markets. Robust overseas demand continued to help offset softer conditions in the automaker's home market.[1][2]

Total sales for BYD increased 21.8 percent from a year earlier to 419,211 vehicles last month, according to Reuters calculations reported on August 1.[1][2]
