Chinese startup Moonshot AI has launched Kimi K3, a massive new artificial intelligence model boasting 2.8 trillion parameters. The company claims its new technology can rival top American firms, specifically positioning it to take on OpenAI and Anthropic.[1][2]
While Moonshot AI's Kimi K3 tops some industry benchmarks, it still trails behind the leading models. Despite this gap, the launch has prompted US investor David Sacks to warn that China is winning the global AI race.[2]
