New Delhi has crossed its average monthly rainfall for August within the first eight days of the month. The Safdarjung Observatory, which serves as the national capital's prime weather monitoring station, has recorded 230.1 mm of rain so far during this period.[1][2]
Prior to reaching that total, the observatory had registered 225.7 mm of rainfall between the beginning of August and 8:30 a.m. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department stated that light to very light rain is likely at some places in Delhi over the next two days.[1][2]
