EasyJet has formally agreed to a £5.7bn takeover by US private equity firm Apollo Global Management. The airline announced on Thursday that it had accepted a firm offer from the American investment firm to purchase the carrier.[1][2]
The agreement was announced after rival suitor Castlelake confirmed it would no longer pursue its attempted acquisition of the no-frills airline, clearing the way for EasyJet to proceed with Apollo Global Management.[1][2]
