FBI Foils Plot to Attack White House UFC Event With Drones and Snipers
US authorities have charged five men in an alleged plot to target a mixed martial arts event attended by President Donald Trump
United States law enforcement officials announced on Tuesday that they had successfully foiled an alleged plot to launch a coordinated attack on the White House during a mixed martial arts event. The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) event was attended by US President Donald Trump. According to federal authorities, five men have been charged in connection with the conspiracy after law enforcement disrupted the plans to carry out the assault.[1][2][3]
According to newly unsealed court filings, the thwarted plan involved deploying explosive-laden drone strikes on the north side of the White House. The conspirators intended for these drone strikes to create chaos and push those attending the event toward a specific exit. Snipers were then planned to open fire on the fleeing crowd as people evacuated, targeting what the suspects described as 'high-value targets' during the confusion.[1][2][3]
The Federal Bureau of Investigation revealed that the group of five men had allegedly expressed a variety of grievances prior to the planned attack. In the unsealed court documents, the government noted that the suspects had voiced complaints regarding corruption, data centres, and files related to Jeffrey Epstein.[1][2]
