French spy agency ditches Palantir
Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu announced that France's domestic spy agency will swap Palantir software for a homemade alternative from ChapsVision, though Palantir claims the change is years away

France's domestic spy agency, the General Directorate, is preparing to swap its current software systems. The agency will be moving away from platforms provided by the United States defense technology giant Palantir, opting instead for a domestically developed alternative.[1][2]
The announcement of the software transition was made by Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu in a video statement released on Tuesday. According to Lecornu, the DGSI will switch to a homemade alternative produced by the French company ChapsVision, signaling a push for domestic technology within France's intelligence operations.[1][2]
Despite the official announcement from the French government, the US-based defense tech firm Palantir has indicated that the transition will not be immediate. In response to the news, Palantir stated that the change to the ChapsVision alternative will not actually happen for years.[1][2]
