Germany is bracing for record-breaking temperatures as a major heatwave moves east toward Poland on Saturday. The weather system has already brought record June temperatures to several European countries, including France, Britain, Switzerland, and Germany.[1][2]
On Friday, Germany reached a new record temperature of 41.3°C near the city of Saarbruecken, close to the French border. The extreme weather has also proved fatal, with dozens of deaths, spanning both young and old individuals, reported in France.[1][2]
