India Leads Globally in Digital Public Infrastructure and Inclusive Growth
An official fact-sheet reveals India has built one of the world's largest digital networks, signing cooperation agreements with 24 countries.

India is emerging as a global leader in Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), driven by its scalable and citizen-centric digital governance platforms. According to an official fact-sheet released on Saturday, the country has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with 24 countries for cooperation on India Stack and DPI systems as of February 2026. These bilateral agreements cover key areas including digital identity, digital payments, data exchange, and service delivery.[1][2]
Over the past 11 years, India has successfully built one of the world's largest Digital Public Infrastructure ecosystems at scale. The development of these digital platforms has expanded access to essential services such as healthcare, education, skilling, agriculture, and welfare. This digital expansion has been especially beneficial in rural and underserved regions, helping to promote inclusive growth across the nation.[1]
Alongside these developments, India has also emerged as a global leader in digital payments and digital governance innovation. Through the expansion of the India Stack and its growing network of international partnerships, the country continues to drive its position as a global leader in scalable and citizen-centric digital governance platforms.[1]
