Drone Attacks and Cargo Ship Fire Test Shaky Iran Ceasefire
A month-old ceasefire is under threat after a drone ignited a fire on a ship near Qatar and the UAE and Kuwait reported airspace breaches.

A fragile, month-old ceasefire in the Iran war was tested on Sunday following a series of regional drone incidents. During the weekend, a drone strike ignited a small fire on a cargo vessel navigating off the coast of Qatar, threatening the temporary halt in hostilities.[1][3]
Alongside the maritime attack near Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait both reported that separate drones had entered their sovereign airspaces. Authorities in the UAE explicitly blamed Iran for the latest drone attack, describing the airspace breach as a direct threat to the shaky truce.[1]
Unmanned aerial vehicles have played a central role throughout the regional conflict. Iran and its various armed allied groups possess a large fleet of drones, and these forces have deployed them to carry out hundreds of strikes since the war first began.[2]
