Israeli Finance Minister Smotrich Says ICC Seeks His Arrest
Bezalel Smotrich claims the ICC prosecutor is seeking a warrant for his arrest and threatened to evacuate a Palestinian Bedouin community in response.

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich stated on Tuesday that the prosecutor for the International Criminal Court has sought an arrest warrant against him. The far-right official attributed the court's legal maneuver to the Palestinian Authority, blaming them directly for the development.[1][2]
Following the news of the warrant request, Smotrich threatened to displace Palestinians from the occupied West Bank. Specifically, he announced that Israel would respond by ordering the evacuation of Khan al-Ahmar, a Palestinian Bedouin community in the territory.[1][2]
