Israeli forces fired shots at Gaza flotilla, 48 boats intercepted
Israeli forces intercepted an aid flotilla of 48 boats heading toward Gaza on Tuesday, with organizers reporting shots fired while Israel denied the use of live ammunition

Israeli forces intercepted an aid flotilla consisting of 48 boats sailing toward the Gaza Strip on Tuesday. According to video footage and reports from the flotilla’s organizers, Israeli forces opened fire on at least two of the vessels during the encounter. A livestream broadcast from the flotilla captured footage that appeared to show soldiers firing shots at two of the boats as they navigated toward their destination.[1][2]
In response to the allegations, the Israeli military stated that no live ammunition was used during the interception and confirmed that there were no casualties reported. While the organizers pointed to the video evidence as proof of the use of force, the Israeli side maintained that the operation was conducted without the use of lethal rounds. The interception resulted in the boats being stopped before they could reach Gaza.[1][2]
The incident occurred as the group of vessels attempted to deliver aid, marking a significant confrontation at sea. Organizers emphasized that the footage from the livestream provided a direct account of the soldiers' actions. Despite the claims from the flotilla's representatives, the Israeli military remained firm in its assertion that the interception was carried out without the use of live fire.[1][2]
