Jetstar halves number of carry-on items customers are allowed
Jetstar is reducing its carry-on item limit and introducing a fee for guaranteed overhead bin access while increasing in-cabin weight allowances.
Jetstar has announced updates to its carry-on baggage policy, halving the total number of carry-on items that customers are permitted to bring onto its flights. The change reduces the quantity of individual bags travelers can carry inside the cabin, marking a shift in how the airline manages passenger luggage allowances.[1][2]
Along with halving the allowable item count, Jetstar will introduce a new fee for passengers who want guaranteed access to overhead storage bins. However, alongside the new item restrictions and bin access fee, the airline is increasing its overall in-cabin weight allowance for customer baggage.[1][2]
