Link's "Hundred Flavours" Survey Decodes Hongkongers' Taste DNA -- Tuen Mun Residents Have the Sweetest Tooth, While Hongkongers "Can Eat Bitter" but Shy Away from Spice
A survey of over 6,000 Hong Kong residents reveals local taste preferences, launching alongside a promotional campaign featuring Mrs Mak and McDull at 24 Link properties

A new survey by Link has mapped out the culinary preferences of Hong Kong residents, drawing on responses from more than 6,000 participants. The "Hundred Flavours Survey" uncovered several unconventional insights into local eating habits, revealing that residents of Tuen Mun possess the city's sweetest tooth. Additionally, the findings show that while Hongkongers are willing to "eat bitter" flavours, they generally prefer to steer clear of spicy foods.[1][2]
The survey's release coincides with the launch of the "Savour the Tastes of Home in Hundred Ways" campaign, which brings the popular characters Mrs Mak and McDull to 24 Link shopping centres and fresh markets across the city. As part of the promotional event, shoppers can redeem exclusive themed gifts featuring the characters, with more than 10,000 premiums available for redemption.[1][2]
In addition to the themed merchandise, the campaign offers shoppers the opportunity to win various "Year-Round" grand prizes. Among the top rewards are a year's worth of dining vouchers from the popular local restaurant chain TamJai Yunnan Mixian, alongside a year's worth of home appliances provided by German Pool.[1][2]
