Nigerian Navy intercepts 22,870 litres of illegal diesel in Rivers
The Nigerian Navy disrupted the movement of illegally refined petroleum products during an intelligence-led operation in Rivers State.

The Nigerian Navy has disrupted the movement of illegally refined petroleum products in Rivers State, successfully intercepting 22,870 litres of illegal diesel. The breakthrough was achieved through an intelligence-led operation conducted under the umbrella of Operation DELTA SENTINEL. This development was confirmed in an official operational report issued on Sunday in Abuja by the Director of Naval Information, Capt. Abiodun Folorunsho.[1][2]
Capt. Folorunsho stated that the operation was executed by personnel of the Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) SOROH. The naval forces were deployed to the Orashi Forest area of the Okolomade Community, situated in the Abua/Odual Local Government Area of Rivers State, where they intercepted the illegal shipment of diesel.[2]
