OceanX Scientific Expedition Establishes New Baseline in Eastern Indian Ocean
OceanX completes a 22-day scientific voyage aboard R/V OceanXplorer, mapping more than 12,800 square kilometers of seabed and documenting deep-sea biodiversity in the high seas.
OceanX has announced the completion of High Seas: Revealing Roo Rise, a 22-day scientific expedition conducted aboard the research vessel R/V OceanXplorer. The voyage focused on investigating one of the little-studied high seas regions in the eastern Indian Ocean to establish a new scientific baseline for the high seas.[1][2]
During the mission, the expedition mapped more than 12,800 square kilometers of seabed and documented deep-sea biodiversity across the remote region.
