OpenAI wins dismissal of trade secret lawsuit by Musk's xAI
A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit by Elon Musk's xAI accusing rival OpenAI of stealing trade secrets through a former engineer

A federal judge in San Francisco has dismissed a lawsuit by Elon Musk's artificial intelligence company, xAI, which accused rival OpenAI of stealing its trade secrets. U.S. District Judge Rita Lin ruled on Monday that xAI failed to show that OpenAI, led by Sam Altman, induced former xAI engineer Xuechen Li to misappropriate the proprietary information.[1][2]
The legal dispute centered on allegations that OpenAI had improperly acquired trade secrets from xAI. However, Judge Lin's ruling determined that the claims regarding the actions of the former engineer, Xuechen Li, were insufficient to sustain the lawsuit against OpenAI.[1][2]
