Philip Morris International Announces New Regional Leadership
Philip Morris International has named new presidents for its Europe and Latin America & Canada regions as part of its ongoing transition toward a smoke-free future.
Stamford, Connecticut-based Philip Morris International has announced a series of new regional leadership appointments. According to the company, these executive changes are designed to support its ongoing organizational shift toward a smoke-free future. The new appointments build directly upon an evolved organizational model that the company first announced in late 2025.[1][2]
As part of the leadership transition, Marco Hannappel has been appointed as the President of the Europe Region, and Can Kuterdem has been named the President of the Latin America & Canada Region. Both of these appointments are scheduled to become effective on August 1, 2026. These leadership updates build on the company's previously established structure, under which Gijs de Best serves as President, South A.[1]
