Supreme Court Allows Trump Administration to End Deportation Protections
The U.S. Supreme Court has authorized the Trump administration to revoke temporary legal protections for hundreds of thousands of Haitian and Syrian migrants.

The predominantly Republican U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday ruled in favor of the Trump administration, allowing it to end legal protections for migrants fleeing their home countries. The decision clears the way for the administration to lift deportation protections that had been in place for these individuals.[1][2]
Under the Supreme Court's authorization, the administration can revoke this temporary status without undergoing judicial review. The ruling impacts an estimated 350,000 Haitian immigrants and approximately 6,000 Syrian migrants who were previously protected from being deported.[1]
