The Bagel Boom is Making its Way to New Jersey as PopUp Bagels Announces 25 Store Expansion Across the State

PopUp Bagels, an award-winning brand seeking to redefine the traditional bagel experience, is officially expanding its footprint into New Jersey. The company announced plans to open more than 25 new retail locations across the state. The brand's inaugural Garden State shop is scheduled to open its doors in Westfield early this summer. This significant regional move is part of a broader growth strategy that also includes continued expansion into upstate New York markets.[1][2]

Billed as the "Not Famous but Known" bagel shop, the company has built a dedicated following by challenging standard bagel preparation methods. Instead of offering traditional sandwiches, PopUp Bagels focuses on doing one thing exceptionally well by serving its products hot and whole straight from the oven. The bagels are never sliced and never toasted. Instead, they are specifically designed to be torn apart and dipped directly into various schmears, a distinctive consumption method the company has officially trademarked as "Grip, Rip and Dip."[1][2]

The rapidly growing brand originally made its debut in Connecticut in 2021. Since its inception, PopUp Bagels has sparked a new kind of morning ritual for bagel lovers by stripping away the complexities of standard deli menus. As the company prepares to launch its Westfield location and subsequent New Jersey storefronts, it continues to capitalize on the regional bagel boom by delivering its unique, oven-fresh experience to a wider audience.[1]
