Thousands march in London for far-right, pro-Palestine protests
London police have increased security as thousands of protesters gather for simultaneous rallies marking Nakba Day and a demonstration led by activist Tommy Robinson

Thousands of protesters descended on the streets of London on Saturday for two major, simultaneous demonstrations that required an extensive police presence across the UK capital. One large-scale event was the annual march held to commemorate the Palestinian Nakba, which marks the displacement of Palestinians during the 1948 war. At the same time, a separate rally was staged by the British far-right activist Tommy Robinson, drawing a significant number of supporters to the city center. These concurrent events resulted in a massive turnout, with some reports indicating that tens of thousands of people were present in the capital for the day's various activities.[1][2]
Security was notably heightened throughout London as authorities worked to manage the logistics of two competing rallies occurring on the same day. Tens of thousands of individuals were estimated to be participating in the various marches, leading to increased patrols and monitoring by law enforcement across the capital's streets. The Metropolitan Police remained on high alert to ensure that the right-wing gathering and the pro-Palestine demonstration could proceed without major disruption. Officers were tasked with maintaining order as the annual Nakba Day march and the far-right rally occupied prominent spaces within the city simultaneously, creating a complex security environment for the local police force during the busy weekend.[1][2]
