Tulsi Gabbard to Resign as Director of National Intelligence

Tulsi Gabbard is resigning from her post as the United States director of national intelligence, marking the latest departure of a cabinet member from the Trump administration. A source familiar with the matter confirmed Gabbard's plans to step down from her leadership role.[1][2][3]

Gabbard is scheduled to officially leave her position coordinating the various U.S. intelligence agencies on June 30. According to reports, she is stepping down from the post in order to help her husband, who was recently diagnosed with bone cancer.[1][2]

Gabbard, who previously served as a Democratic congresswoman and worked as a Fox News contributor, personally informed the president of her decision to resign. The two met in the Oval Office on Friday, where she shared her plans to depart the administration.[1]
