UP Student Becomes ISRO Scientist After Failing To Crack JEE By Two Marks
Sanket Kumar of Meerut overcame a narrow miss on the 2021 JEE Advanced exam to secure a role at the Indian Space Research Organisation

Sanket Kumar, a former student of Dewan Public School in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, has been selected as a Scientist/Engineer at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). Kumar achieved this milestone after overcoming a major academic setback in 2021, when he narrowly missed the JEE Advanced cut-off by just two marks.[1][2]
Rather than letting the narrow miss deter him, Kumar continued to pursue his dream. His journey from missing the competitive engineering exam cut-off to securing a position at India's premier space agency highlights how he successfully turned a disappointment into a major career achievement.[1]
