US judge dismisses Musk's xAI trade secret lawsuit against OpenAI
A federal judge ruled that Elon Musk's xAI failed to show OpenAI induced a former senior engineer to steal chatbot trade secrets
A federal judge on Monday dismissed a lawsuit by Elon Musk's artificial intelligence company, xAI, which accused rival Sam Altman's OpenAI of stealing trade secrets for chatbots. U.S. District Judge Rita Lin in San Francisco ruled that xAI failed to show that OpenAI induced former xAI senior engineer Xuechen.[1][2]
The lawsuit, which was originally filed in September, focused on a broader alleged misappropriation of confidential information.[1]
