Yamal fit to start on bench for Spain against Cape Verde
Spain manager Luis de la Fuente says winger Lamine Yamal is fit to serve as a substitute against Cape Verde, with his participation depending on how the Group H match progresses

Spain winger Lamine Yamal is fit and prepared to start on the bench for his national team's opening match of the World Cup against Cape Verde. Spain manager Luis de la Fuente announced on Sunday that the winger's potential introduction to the game will depend on how the Group H fixture progresses on the pitch.[1][2]
The 18-year-old Yamal has not played in a match since April due to ongoing struggles. Despite his recent absence from competitive action, his return to fitness allows him to be named as a substitute, offering Spain an additional attacking option as they begin their tournament campaign.[2]
