Zscaler Redefines Zero Trust SASE for the AI Era

At the Zenith Live 2026 conference in Las Vegas, Zscaler, Inc. announced a significant expansion of its Zero Trust SASE solution. The cybersecurity platform introduced its new ZAgent Framework alongside additional innovations designed to secure all communications, from browser to workload, using a single cloud-native architecture. The company, which secures more than 750 billion daily transactions, aims to address the challenges of the modern AI era.[1][2]

According to Zscaler, traditional SASE systems built on firewalls and VPNs are no longer sufficient for today's environment, where work is increasingly conducted on unmanaged devices and across complex supply chains. These legacy systems can expose applications to the internet, allow lateral movement by attackers, and create administrative difficulties. Furthermore, AI-driven attacks now move faster than traditional security teams can defend against them.[2]

The newly introduced ZAgent Framework is designed for agentic administration. Through these latest updates, Zscaler is extending its Zero Trust SASE capabilities to better protect unmanaged devices, B2B partners, and multi-cloud workloads, providing a more robust defense against modern cyber threats.[1][2]
