EasyJet has agreed to a £5.7bn takeover offer from US firm Apollo Global Management after rival suitor Castlelake abandoned its acquisition attempt

EasyJet has formally agreed to a £5.7bn takeover offer from US private equity firm Apollo Global Management. The airline announced on Thursday that it accepted the firm acquisition proposal from Apollo.[1][2]
The agreement was finalized after rival bidder Castlelake stated that it would no longer pursue its attempted acquisition of the budget carrier. Castlelake dropped out of the running, leaving Apollo Global Management to complete the £5.7bn deal.[1][2]
