Amai Proteins has secured approval from the Singapore Food Agency for its flagship sweet protein, sweelin®, expanding its regulatory footprint into Asia
Rehovot, Israel-based Amai Proteins has achieved a major regulatory milestone with the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) approving its flagship sweet protein, sweelin®, for use as a sweetening agent in food and beverage products. The announcement, made on May 25, 2026, marks a significant expansion of the company's regulatory footprint into the Asian market.[1][2]

Amai Proteins developed the ingredient to deliver a superior clean taste, competitive cost, and improved formulation performance in various food and beverage applications.[1][2]
This regulatory milestone in Singapore follows a prior major achievement for the product in the United States, where sweelin® previously received FDA GRAS approval.[1]
