Syracuse Poll Worker Says Federal Officers Confronted Her Over Post Criticizing ICE
An election worker in New York says federal officers served her a warning at a polling place over a social media post about an ICE officer involved in a fatal shooting

During New York's party primaries on Tuesday, Syracuse election worker Paigelynne Gonyea was confronted by two federal officers while she was working at a local polling place. The officers visited the voting location specifically to address a social media post Gonyea had previously written criticizing an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]
The social media post in question criticized the ICE officer who fatally shot Renee Good in Minneapolis. Gonyea stated that the confrontation occurred directly at the polling site where she was performing her duties during the primary elections.[1][5][6]
According to Gonyea, the two officers served her with a notice stating that she might be in violation of federal laws. These laws prevent individuals from publicly posting personal information about federal officers. Gonyea said the warning stemmed from a post she made months ago, in which she shared a picture of Jonathan Ross, the ICE officer who shot and killed Good.[1]
