The Jewish security volunteers first on scene of Golders Green attack
Investigators are examining a claim of responsibility from an Iran-linked group following a knife attack on two Jewish men in north London that was first attended by community security volunteers

Two Jewish men were stabbed while walking on the streets of Golders Green in north London, an incident that police have since declared a terrorist attack. Members of a Jewish security volunteer group were the first to arrive on the scene to provide assistance following the knife attack. The victims were targeted while walking in the neighborhood, which is home to a significant Jewish community, prompting an immediate response from local security and emergency services.[1][2]
Shortly after the assault, a group with links to Iran known as Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamia (HAYI) issued a claim of responsibility. The statement was posted to a Telegram channel roughly one hour after the event took place. This group has been associated with a series of previous incidents that targeted various Jewish sites, leading to increased scrutiny from security services and investigators regarding their activities in the United Kingdom.[1]
Investigators are currently evaluating the validity of the claim made by HAYI. While the group has a history of targeting Jewish locations, officials suggested that the latest claim might be opportunistic in nature rather than a state-backed operation. The investigation continues as authorities work to determine the exact motivations and any potential broader connections behind the stabbing, as well as the level of coordination involved in the attack.[1]
