Cole Tomas Allen, a 31-year-old man from Torrance, California, appeared in federal court on Monday to face charges related to an attack at the White House Correspondents' Dinner. Law enforcement agencies identified Allen as the suspected gunman who allegedly attempted to storm the press gala. During his initial court appearance, he was charged with three federal crimes, the most serious of which is the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump.[1][2]
