A woman and her young child died on Saturday afternoon after getting into difficulty in the water at Elthorne Park in Ealing, located in west London. The Metropolitan Police were alerted to the emergency just before 4:30 pm and immediately dispatched officers to the scene. Upon arrival, the woman and child were recovered from the water by emergency responders. Despite the efforts of those at the scene, both individuals were pronounced dead shortly after being pulled from the water.[1][2]
