CGBIO Signs Global Clinical and Exclusive Commercialization Agreement for NOVOSIS in the U.S., Canada and Australia
CGBIO has signed an exclusive agreement with DePuy Synthes to commercialize its NOVOSIS bone graft substitute portfolio in the United States, Canada, and Australia.

On May 27, 2026, South Korean regenerative medicine company CGBIO announced a major global clinical development and exclusive commercialization agreement with DePuy Synthes, a global orthopaedics solutions company. Under the terms of the agreement, DePuy Synthes has secured the exclusive rights to commercialize CGBIO's NOVOSIS bone graft substitute product portfolio, which includes Novosis Putty, across the United States, Canada, and Australia.[1][2]
The collaboration represents a strategic move for CGBIO, led by CEO Hyunseung Yu, to establish a full-scale entry into North America, which is currently recognized as the world's largest market for bone graft substitutes. Through this partnership, the two companies plan to leverage their combined expertise to expand their reach and capabilities within the global orthopaedics and bone regeneration sectors.[1][2]
In addition to commercialization, CGBIO and DePuy Synthes will jointly advance global clinical development and work toward securing necessary regulatory approvals. Their joint efforts will specifically target regulatory pathways in the United States, including the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) and Premarket Approval (PMA) pathways to bring the bone graft products to market.[1][2]
